Essilor Canada Names Pierre Bertrand as New President

Further to our report last week, Essilor Canada announced the appointment of Pierre Bertrand as President of Essilor Canada – effective February 1st, 2015. Mr. Bertrand joined Essilor in USA in 2011 and is currently the VP, Marketing.

Mr. Bertrand will be responsible for the development and deployment of the business growth strategy and profitability of Essilor Canada, reporting to Mr. Tersigni.

Mr. Bertrand is a graduate of Concordia (Economics), and holds an MBA from University of Windsor in finance and strategy. He held several positions at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals in both finance and marketing prior to joining Essilor.

The change sees Marc Tersigni in the role of CSO – Country Strategic Officer, responsible for developing and implementing Essilor's Canadian growth strategy.
